Mad scientist experiment 1

Can you run a Coleman model 220 on straight diesel fuel?

With kerosene being over $10 bucks a gallon at your local wally world, why would I pay that?
After some research done with my highly intelligent banana hungry monkeys, we came to the conclusion that kerosine is just highly refined Diesel. "Kero" for short, simply lacks sulfur and other impurities that are usually plentiful in diesel. So the only downside would be, as monkey number one put it, more "poo" build up over time. I though, poo? Little poo never hurt nothin. So, starting with a 1:1 mixture and upon great success, I moved on up to 2:1. 2 parts diesel #20  highway grade, and 1k Kero. Took a bit to warm it up, but after successfully priming it up and feeling a wee bit lightheaded from the fumes, its now burning hot and actually, much brighter and burns
much hotter than it did on pure kero! Successful experiment!
