The biggest news yet on this blog!

Once again it has been quite sometime since the last blog post. But this time, the excuse is really good! WE BOUGHT THE TRAVEL TRAILER! That's right, we bought it, after a very long 9 hour day of driving to go and get it. Thus said the reason why we haven't posted much blogs yet is simply because well... When we went to go and look at the trailer everything was perfect, besides the fridge possibly not working, not so bad right? So we went ahead and bought the trailer for a pretty good deal, we think. The asking price was $2500 and Bear was able to work the seller down to $1350. Although that was with the understanding of the fridge possibly being broken.

Upon taking the trailer to our friends house where we are gratefully able to park it there, be was looking around and he found the one thing he didn't want wrong with the trailer when looking for the right one to buy.... DRY ROT! You heard me dry rot! Now here's the thing, when we went to go and look at the trailer Bear looked and looked for dry rot or anything else major and he wasn't going to buy it there was any. He didn't see it until the following day after we had bought the trailer.

There was some in the front on the wall and on the ground, which wasn't all too bad, but the worse of it was that the entire back end where the bathroom is was all gone. So we've been spending the paste few weeks restoring all of the rot and now we are half way done, well more than half. The front end got done in a week and the back end has taken a little longer just due to how much rot was there.  Although now the underlayment and the floor is completely put back in. All that is left is to put new walls in (front and back of trailer), to put all of the tanks, tub, and plumbing stuff back where it was. Once all of that is done, Bear needs to do the real easy stuff of building a new medicine cabinet and building a new vanity for the bathroom. Then it done! Once all of that is done my department of decorating will come into place! It's now almost a home again, which means we can get married in about a month or two, we are still aiming for July but it might be sooner in June, we will see though.

We are super happy about this and cannot wait for it to be done finally! If you are interested we have been documenting this all on YouTube and should have the videos up of the tour of the trailer, before and after of all of the remodeling that has been going on. I just need the time to edit it all.

Stay tuned on here and on YouTube for more exciting RV stuff! And continue to follow us on our embarkment!

Oh I almost forgot! It's a 24 foot 1900 Yukon Wilderness (Fleetwood)

    1. we are actually doing great! We have the rv and living it full time right now. We recently had a electronic disaster and lost all our youtube footage but recovering from that now. Should have some videos up here within the next few weeks. This will take off, and we are very glad to hear that someone out there is interested. Very exited about the next few weeks. Stay tuned :)
